Mr. Brown began his career in health care 30 years ago with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Indiana. He then moved on to Blue Cross Blue Shield of Wisconsin and then Virginia. He started Health Care Economics in 1981, after seeing a need to help physicians with the business side of medicine.

His expertise encoumpasses all areas of medical and dental practice management. He has been a guest lecturer for numerous conferences specializing opthalmology, allergy and immunology, pediatrics, gastroenterology, to mention a few. He has also lectured to numerous medical schools, as well as professional and medical societies around the country. He is a Certified Healthcare Business Consultant in the National Society of Certified Healthcare Business Consultants and is a member of the Institute of Business Appraisers.

Mr. Brown was a member of the National Health Care Committee for the National Health Care Consulting presentation to the Congressional Committee for Health Care in 1994. He has also served as a chief witness for the AMA in litigation between the AMA and the Department of Health and Human Services. He is a Contributing Editor for Medical Economics Magazine, and has written numerous articles in that publication as well as other professional magazines and journals and has also written several books.  A full resume is available upon request.
